Meet Our Pastor
REVEREND NATHAN A. CALDWELL I
Biography
Reverend Nathan Alexander Caldwell was born July 18, 1985, in Detroit Michigan. He was the fifth and youngest child born to Dr. Nathaniel and Denise Caldwell. He matriculated in the Detroit Public Schools.

He studied at the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville TN. While attending the Seminary, he became the Overseer of the College Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Breonus M. Mitchell Sr., of Greater Grace Temple Community Church.

He accepted his call into the preaching ministry July 18, 2004, under the leadership of the late Dr. James Allen Caldwell Sr of the Burnette Baptist Church. He was ordained December 17, 2009 and was appointed as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor and Minister of Music at the Greater Burnette Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Nathaniel Caldwell. While there, he birthed the 3CG (Called, Committed, and Chosen Generation) ministries. His ministry focused on troubled teens building their self-esteem while developing their gifts and talents. Has been a guest instructor for the BM&E State Convention in 2012. He served as an Associate Minister at the Christland Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Allen O. Langford, where he established a Young Adult ministry called “Authentic”, where he meets and talks about REAL life problems that only a REAL life God can solve. Most recently, he has shifted from personal evangelistic ministry to newly appointed Pastor of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church; January 15, 2022.

He received a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary and is currently working on his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at Moody Theological Seminary. He works as a Restorative Practitioner (Counselor) at University Prep Art Design Middle School, where he repairs and restores harm that is done within the community among students, staff, and families. He is an active member of the NAACP Detroit Branch, where he works with the Religious Affairs Committee reaching out to and supporting his local community through social change, and activism. He is also a proud member of the Black Male Educator Alliance (B.M.E.A.). B.M.E.A focuses on urban community building through education; while encouraging more black males to join to help nurture and cultivate our youth through education and mentorship.

Pastor Caldwell is married to an amazing woman, Mrs. Patrina A. Caldwell. They find joy in their three children Paisley D. Caldwell, Nathan A. Caldwell II and Phoebe C. Caldwell.
